On Saturday, March 31, 2012, from 9 am - 12 pm, volunteers are needed to help with rehabilitating the park’s environmental trail. Old signs need to be removed, benches rebuilt, brush trimmed, and the trail itself will be lined.

Those interested need only bring themselves! All tools will be provided, but you may bring gloves if you like. Because of the nature of the work, children should be no younger than 9-10 years old.

Boy and Girl Scout troops may use Park Day to earn badges and the day is wonderful for team building for businesses. Groups are encouraged to attend. To sign up, please email Benita Duling at Benita_Duling@nps.gov. Once signed up, a more detailed email of the day’s events will follow.
